How does this work?

- Once you check out, your website will be provisioned and you will be sent login information once the site is created. Follow our customized tutorials for that template replacing images and text with your own. If you selected one of our Good Samaritan plans we will be in touch with you shortly concerning your customization.
What makes WP Church Sites different that other church website builders?

Is WP Church Sites just for churches?
No!, Although we specialize in churches, our framework can be used by anyone. Add your photos, text, and logo and you are good to go.
Can we use our own domain name?
Absolutely, It is simply a setting in your dashboard. You would simply point your "A" record at your domain registrar to our IP address. No worries, we can help you with that.
When does billing start?
After your free trial your monthly subscriptions are billed through Stripe. If your credit card information isn't current you will not have access to your website and could experience your website being down.
We offer a free 30 day trial so you can try before you buy.
Is there a contract to sign?
No contracts. We are a month to month service. However, if you cancel you will no longer have access to your website and it will be deleted. You can cancel from your website dashboard.
What if I want one on one training?
Can I take my website with me if I cancel?
We can give you a copy of the database and your files.
How safe is my website from hackers?
We take security very seriously. First, we have excellent website hosting with WP Engine. Most website attacks are mitigated by their firewall. They never reach your site.
Secondly, we backup not only at the server level but each site on our plateform is backed up offsite as well in two locations.
If for any reason your website is compromised we will repair if for free.
How safe is my website from hackers?

What if I want to upgrade to a custom website?
Contact us and we will be happy to schedule a conversation and give you a written proposal.
Why can't I upload audio and video files?
Both file types tend to be large. We recommend YouTube or Vimeo for video. Not only does it encode it for the web it keeps your website lean and mean. For audio files we recommend Dropbox or Amazon S3 (super cheap) for storing any large files including PDFs.
Do you support live streaming services?
Yes. It is easy to embed streaming service code into your website.
What if there is a feature I really want but is missing?
Contact us and we will discuss it. We are always open to improving our value to our clients.
Forms scare me. Do you build custom forms?
Yes. We even have a free online donation form template and a tutorial on the setup and connection to either Stripe or Paypal.
Graphics (Sermon Series, Event Art, Bulletin layouts)
How do I find the free event and sermon series art?
Login into WPChurchSites.com and click on Resources in the menu bar.
Is there a limit to the free art I can use?
No.
How do I edit these files?
 The files were created in Adobe Photoshop. Not everyone has this program. You can use Affinity Designer or Affinity Photo or an online editor like Pixlr. We recommend using Google fonts if you need to find a replacement font to fit your church's needs.
Will you customize the sermon series or event art for us?
Yes. Our turnaround time is up to 48 hours (regular business days). Just do a customization request.
Do you do custom sermon series, bulletin design, and event art?
Yes. Complete the Graphics Request for one off designs or monthly plan options.
Do you have an affiliate program?
Do you offer email?
No, we don't simply because we want to leave that to the experts. If you want email addresses that go with your domain name we suggest Google Suite or Outlook.com. Both offer free services to non-profits as well as paid services. Google Suite is what we use.
Do I need to know how to code?
What about connecting to our online giving and church management software and other third party systems?
You can connect your third party services like church management software your online giving provider, or live streaming service. Have embed codes from third party services like giving forms or other iframes? No problem. Just drop the code into the html module and you are good to go.
Can you set up our website and add content for us?

How do I make sure Google and Bing know about my site?

What is on page SEO?
On page SEO customizes what appears in search results and allows you to target potentials viewers by assigning a single keyword or phrase per page. You can customize the featured image, social media images, the (meta) description, and title.Â
Will I appear on page one of a Google Search?
The best chance to appear on page one is someone searches for your brand name is to do a free Google Business listing. Chances are if you do your on page SEO correctly your website will also appear on page one if someone searches for your brand.
What if I want help on my SEO?

Troubleshooting FAQs
My website is down what do I do?
If your website is down our uptime monitor has notified us. Contact us anyway. We will jump into action and fix the issue. Many times it is just a server restart to apply security patches. If we know in advance we will notify you of any planned maintenance work.
What if I need help? What are my support options?
Our support is by email and chat only. We are very responsive in our support. Our video tutorial library and knowledge base can help you with most issues. You can contact us directly from your dashboard of your website.
